Seeds Butterflies
Are black ants pollinating or eating my various peppers?
Last year I planted my seeds late and I assumed the ants were eating the budding peppers inside the flowers. This year I planted earlier and have some peppers growing and many still flowering. I have seen butterflies out there, but now the ants are back and getting into the flowers. They don't touch the large peppers. If they are eating the peppers, only organic solutions please? Thank you.
I recently read that ants are beneficial to plants. The article did say that ants do pollinate plants. I've never heard of ants actually eating plants. They're more scavengers/carnivores.
